Vicki’s Meatballs

This recipe is named for a wonderful person that also makes great balls.  This isn’t the only recipe I learned form Vicki however this is the simplest recipe on the entire blog.

Ingredients

frozen precooked Italian meatballs (enough to fill a crockpot)

Heinz chili sauce (12 oz)

Grape jelly (18 oz)

Recipe

Put frozen meatballs in crockpot.  Add chili sauce and grape jelly on top.  Turn on low for 4-6 hours mixing on occasionally.  Actual time depends on how full and big the crockpot is.  You can turn on high if time is tight but you have to stir often.  It’s easy for the meatballs to burn on the bottom of the crockpot.

It is that simple.  I found if you are doing a small batch of meatballs and are cutting back the additives.  Cut back more on the grape jelly because the chili sauce is really what makes the recipe.
