Bacon

Why on earth is there a recipe here for bacon? Who doesn’t know how to cook bacon?
While searching the internet on better ways to cook an egg I ran into a different way to cook bacon. I have never gone back. Now this picture is of bacon I recently cooked and then refrigerated so pardon the lack of ‘sizzle.’
Directions
Cover baking sheets with aluminum foil. You can spread tight but one package of the good stuff is two baking sheets. The good stuff for me is from Costco, it has a black backing and is thick cut. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Here in Colorado it tends to be 18-19 minutes if you like it extra crispy, keep an eye on it at 15 for crisp preference. Just to warn you it will smoke. Remove and dab on paper towels to get all the grease off and set on stacking clean paper towels too cool. It is important to cool thick bacon for a little bit.
By using the baking sheets, you cook the bacon evenly plus it keeps a nice shape. I can’t count the times I’ve flopped and moved bacon in a frying pan leaving a twisted strip. Though the twisted strip is still tasty, this baking sheet method brings consistency and evenness of cooking plus a flat presentation.
After cooking, I leave the baking sheets out on the counter to cool off. Clean up is so simple because you carefully lift up the aluminum foil, put in the trash, and your baking sheets are mess free.
