0-400 Wings on Pellet Grill

This is the easiest way to make wings and it is so tasty. You can vary your dry ingredients anyway that you want. I did a half batch last time, and this is a full batch which took the same amount of time.

Ingredients

Raw chicken wings. Costco has a good Kirkland set that divides it into six sub packages. Three of them will feed a family of four. All six will give you wings for a number of days.
Use any spice makes you wish. I suggest you include powdered garlic, powdered salt, powdered onion, and paprika.

I highly suggest using up those space mix containers everyone has laying around. It’s not necessary, but it helps when you add baking powder to your spice mix. That helps crisp up the skin.

after cooking, you can mix in any sauce you like or do a dry rub.

Directions

Lay the wings on top of the cold grill. If you have two levels, you can use both levels. Spread them out. Turn on your pellet grill and set it to 400° and ignite. After 25 minutes flip them all over. If your wings are kind of wimpy, you might flip it earlier. If your wings are medium, you might flip it a little later.. Ideally, you do it around the halfway point.

Start checking the temperature. You want to be a minimum of 175°. 175 to 185 is the sweet spot. I check 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the wings. You’ll usually pull a quarter to a3 of them off that are clearly done and let the rest cook to make sure they are all safely cooked.

After everything is cooked and off, mix in a dry rub or your favorite spice. Of course, everyone is a big fan of Frank’s buffalo wing sauce. If you only have Frank’s hot sauce, you need to melt butter into it to make it a wing sauce. That is the only thing you need to do to hot sauce to make a wing sauce.
